Bøylestad Energy Park is located right next to Statnett’s central grid station, a key power hub in eastern Agder.

Available land near important infrastructure

To address feedback received during the consultation process regarding the road, we have chosen to reduce the size of the energy park. We are now planning to proceed with detailed zoning for approximately 33 per cent of the area designated in the municipal plan, corresponding to around 530 of the total 1,600 decares. The final size will be determined based on further road analyses.

Knowledge and workforce

Several places in Norway have good access to power and vacant land. But few places have the same and necessary combination of access to renewable energy, stable prices, technological expertise environments and workforce. Agder has long industrial traditions, which contribute to a strong network of subcontractors and professionals. Bøylestad Energy Park can also enter into collaboration with institutions such as the University of Agder (UiA) and Agder Research. The region is also home to important business clusters such as GCE NODE, NCE Eyde and Digin.
